Students share with Tourists

Students attending the 06 Nunivak Island Summer Field Experience (SSF) had the opportunity to interact with 'a boat load' of tourists, from the ship 'Spirit of Oceanus'/part of the Cruise West Fleet, who visited Nash Harbor.

This was a great opportunity for the students to be a part of the tour and share with the visitors as well as experience, first-hand, efforts towards improving economic development in rural Alaska.

Student Danica Broeman completed this short ethnobotanical sketch on the local flora on Nunivak Island. Part of her study at the Summer Science Field Camp on Nunivak, Summer 2005.
